Three Easy Writing Tips For Your Brand
Who??? Think about who your customer is. Use language that will resonate with her. What does she read, how old are her kids, and what does she like to do in her spare time? Always be writing for her eyes.
Whatsamatta?? Define what her problems are, and then write the words that will let her know that you get what she is struggling with. Maybe that you have even been there yourself.
Goals! Once she uses your product or service how will her life improve? Be sure to tell a story of what she can achieve because she bought from you.
Think about the emails that don’t get deleted right away, or the social posts you stop to read. (Hopefully, like this one!)
There’s something in them that captures your attention.
Other than singing dogs and cooing babies which are fun to look at, the posts that grab us are the ones that fix a problem we are having. They somehow make our lives better.
That could be anything from fixing split ends, finding comfy heels, getting a bid accepted on a house, figuring out how to make kale chips that don’t suck, to how to explain to your kids that the goldfish died.
Your business solves problems for your customer, and you need to figure out who that customer is and then tell them about it. It’s actually pretty simple.
Do it in a way that is engaging and entertaining, and you have yourself a happy buyer.
