Getting Back “Into the Groove” After a Summertime Slowdown

When I used to rent a summer share house with a bunch of my friends on Fire Island, we looked around at the seasonal romances that sprung up around us, and wondered which ones would last "ALD."

After Labor Day.

There was something magical about the phrase.

Now, as small business owners, we use it differently.

If you're anything like me, this summer has been a time to recharge.

To write less.
Take somewhat of a break from social.
See fewer clients.

My self-imposed slowdown allowed me to spend a lot of time with my adult kids. I did some work on the house, and played a lot of pickleball (I even went to a pickleball camp!)

And here we are now, ALD.

Do you have big plans to get back in the groove?
Are you easing in, or taking a dive, head first?
Does having the kids back in school help?

Even though my nest is empty, I shop the Back-to-School sales and stock up on notebooks and pens. Nothing like opening a crisp new spiral. So many possibilities.

Always Lead Dynamically.
Avoid Latent Distractions.
Achieve Long Dreams.
Attempt Lavish Deeds.
After Labor Day.

Let's get cracking!!!
